Easy-drive round to Halfords and get a stick on replacement. I've had one for 4 years without a problem.
Its a lot less hassle, fitted in seconds and they are tailor shaped to fit.
Tip- In this cold damp weather gently warm the old and the new up with a hair dryer so the adhesive can get a firm grip
