Hi can anyone plz help my leg is driving me mad this hasba 2.4 durotec on a 2002 plate when I bought the vehicle the ignition.has been hardwired straight to he relay as immobilizer fault the key and transponder are strapped to.the ignition as its had a new barrel and key and has been like this for a.year I know of now with no problems however I had starting problems a.few weeks.ago.which turned out to be a a loose wire repair on the battery live wire and it has been fine. Since only now its started to click like.the starters packed up more often than not then I leave for a bit and sometimes it starts any ideas I have fitted a.New starter this morning cheers Jonathon

I would remove the starter,get a torch and slowly turn the engine by hand and have a look at the flywheel ring gear,also when you removed the old starter was there a lot of grey powder present? Dual mass flywheels are bad for going on these
