how can i fix my washing machine?

i have a simpson 605 encore washing machine. first off i had no power all of a sudden and after checking a few forums took off the top of the machine and checked the circuit board, there was a damaged solder so i resoldered it put it back together, now i have power but all the lights have come on and it seems to be stuck in a continual fill cycle but the water is draining straight out of it as well...

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated cheers

Don't know of any way to test the board. Only Simpson I assume could know what to look for. Using a test meter would only help if you knew what component was likely to of failed but it may be the main chip. A test meter would not check that. There is a company here in Auckland NZ that does some repairs to those boards. Where exactly are you?

is there a way i can determine if the circuit board is damaged visually or does it need to be tested with a meter. I only soldered 1 point on the board where it seemed to be blackened so i dont think i have soldered it wrong

If it is filling & the drain pump is running as well then I would say that either you have soldered something wrong or the circuit board is damaged.
