fisher and paykel washing machine will not spin?

I took the pump off and cleaned it.Now the pump is working fine, but the machine stops just before the spin cycle. But, the machine will go through a full cycle with a nil load (water only) Is there a code to re-set?
Thank you,
Allan

okay, thanks for your assistance with this.

Possibly a faulty drain pump which will stop if it overheats until it cools down. Take pump out and check copper winding for discoulored copper. Should be an even dark copper colour if light or uneven colour then that is a sgn of overheating. If you have a test multimeter then put it on ohms range and one probe on each pump terminal. Should be approximately 33.5 ohms. Assuming you run on 230 volts power supply where you live. Apart from that I can't think of any other reason and you would be best to get someone out to test the control board etc.

that was the reason I removed and cleaned the pump. I have since attempted to put it through another cycle (water only) and now it will only pump out a third of the bowl at a time.

Okay thanks for the extra info. There is no reset code and there is no sensor that tells the machine there is no clothes in it only water. So it should perform exactly the same with or without clothes in it. Has this fault only appeared since you took out the pump or was that the reason you removed & cleaned out the drain pump?

okay, thanks for your response.
Model number is GW712.
When it stops it does nothing - nil beeps. It stops before the first rinse after draining the water. But as I said earlier it will go through a full cycle with nil load - draining, spinning etc.
the lights still on when it stops are nos 6,7 and 8.

Thanks

No there is no code to reset. Need more info. What model number? What happens when it stops? Does it stop before the first or the second rinse? Does it drain the water before it stops? Does it start beeping after it stops ? If it does then get the error code while it is beeping. Look at the top row of 8 lights and count from left to right and note which lights are on and which are off. Post the info back here and you will get more help.
