my zafira is smoking and has lost power ?

my 1.9 cdti 06 zafira has the engine managment light on and has lost power and is smoking black and grey smoke can any one help please. the engine runs ok on idle.

with modern motors it is pointless guessing and first thing to do is get it onto a code reader to see what fault codes are stored
