I have had to repair the wind screen wiper’s – having removed the smashed mechanism -- cleaned up the debris and fitted a new part re attached the wiper arms the wipers now want to sit in position pointing up the windscreen --- I have taken the whole lot apart again looked at the working’s reassembled everything set it up and I have the same result --- where am I going wrong??

may be a case of the small spindle coming off the motor needs reset in the correct position,usually on a spline
