Citroen dispatch brakes on 53 ?

Hi all
My problem , I recently took my citroen dispatch for mot and it failed on rear brakes so I had new shoes and cylinders fitted took it back and passed yip hi
But a mile down the road I went to slow down to which I had no brake I've since figured out slowing down doesn't work but stopping does
When I want to stop its stops on a penny but when I want to slow down peddle goes hard and nothing
Any ideas
Thanks

I do have only 2 clicks with handbrake does this mean they are not adjusted or installed correctly????
Thanks

pump the brake pedal till it goes hard then with pressure applied to pedal start the engine.pedal should drop slowly.Jack rear end and with help pull the handbrake on 1 click at a time and make sure the wheels both lock at the same time and in a reasonable amount of clicks (say 5-6ish).if not adjust handbrake cable. Now slowly apply brake pressure and see if wheels lock up evenly. If self adjusters aren't working in the rear drums this could cause issues.Driving backwards then pulling handbrake on hard whilst pressing brake pedal hard can sometimes help adjusters sort themselves out

I've checked the vacum from pump and also the pipes which seem to be ok and not losing any fluid
Also after 3 attempts of bleeding decided to have pressure bled .

If pedal goes hard it is usually an indication that the servo or vacuum pipes to the servo are faulty.I would also check the brake fluid reservoir and continue to bleed the brakes more incase air is still in the sysyem
