I have set up planned recordings for example the X Factor, it doesn't record this but records the X Factor results next day, same with Strictly etc, also when it does record I often get two other programmes recording before the one I want! So frustrating & any help out there would be much appreciated

Try using the standard freeeview epg instead of the Top Up TV epg.
