Citroen berlingo rear top brakes isnt workimg ?

hi i have a citroen berlingo van 2001 1.9 hdi i changed the top rear brake light bulbs and they still aint working and when i apply the foot brake all the dash bord lights up like a xmas tree lol also when i apply the foot brake the rear bottom ones light up with the bottom ones are fog lights can any one help or have any ideas please thanks rich

make sure you put correct bulb in each holder-double contact/single contact,double filament/single filament and correct wattage|

take out all bulbs from both sides and just fit one at a time ,the problem area/side may become apparent as you test each stage . alternate bulbs ,obviously make sure you have the right wattage bulbs etc,and earth points are clean.hope this helps.(peugeot partner owner.)

I would have a look at your tail light earths,make sure bulbs are correctly located in their holders
