This happened to mine.. It burnt out all the cables were melted.. It cost nearly 300 to fix as half my car (the whole dash board had to come off to get to it).. Be careful as o was informed it could have caught light :(

Switch fault, fuse blown, motor knackered, or if it is on a relay, that's faulty. Trial and error.

Go for fuse first, if blown replace and if it blows again call mobile auto electrician or run it in to a garage as it would indicate a short out somewhere.
