punch card?

my machine is an old kh830. The knob that you press down works when you do it manualy. Set the machine to do fair isle and card does not turn. I have looked at it and the teeth from the knob is not going down enough to meet the cog.What can I do?

Adjust the knob or cog position.
There may be some dust buildup. Blow it away with compressed air.
