Hold a flashlight to the screen in a dark room and shine it at the screen. Do you see a faint picture or movement? If you do then the backlights are no good.If you don't see a picture then it's the inverter board.(Left side (looking at tv from back) far panel with the 2 transformers).Check for hot spots on this, and also make sure the caps in front of the connection(from inverter board to powr board) on the power board are good.
