I have a hotpoint condenser tumble dryer (TCM65).

It now stops rotating when in operation, ie: it starts ok, drum turns and heats up but when it appears to then want to go onto reverse rotation it stops, I can hear the maching humming trying to get the drum to rotate but it can't.

Any ideas and also how much to repair?
