Central locking problem?

My central locking is erratic on my kangoo 1.5 dci van 2010 plate. When I close the driver door, the door open light on the dash does not always go out. I have to open and shut the door several times and sometimes have to slam it in order to get the light to go out. Not until the light is out, will the doors lock. Anybody got any ideas please?

Have sorted this myself now guys. Went to renault and was told they would look at it for £72 then there would be the cost of the repair. No chance. I narrowed the fault down to the actual sensor within the licking mechanism and there is no way to access it as the lock is a sealed unit. So I attacked the wiring loom and after several experiments found that by shorting out the grey/red wire with the thin black wire, you act as if the sensor has been operated. Put it all back together and hey-presto the central locking now works again. Probably saved myself a few hundred quid in the process.
