peugeot 206 front suspension bearing replacement?

Hi, I need to replace the front mcpherson strut top bearings.

Is it at all possible to do this without taking brake caliper, drive shaft off?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thany you.

I would remove caliper to avoid strain on your brake hose, when you separate strut from hub watch for the driveshafts coming out of the diff. there are no circlips holding it in and you may lose some oil, either have a clean container to catch the oil and replenish the g/box or drain it completely as there is no level plug and just fill it with the correct amount which I think on these is 2 litres, remove breather on top of g/box to fill, the bearings themselves are straight forward, good luck.
