How can your computer "loose signal"? Do you have a TV capture card? Is the cable to the monitor secure? Is the monitor correctly connected to the wall's power plug.

No computer ever need any remote. Is it a remote for a TV capture card?

This sentense "I have never down ,loaded updates as I tend to swicht" don't make any sense. Maybe there is a unintentional line break, a splitted word and an extraneous comma... What do you REALY mean. Try rephrasing that in a meaningfull way.

Let's try this: You've never downloades updates because your computer is not always on...
You can continue working on a computer as it's downloading updates in the background. Not doing so is uterly foolish. Not applying updates can mean that your computer is infected by several malwares. Virus often use exploits for vulnerabilities that have been patched a few years ago with an update that you should have installed LONG ago...

If you NEVER applyed any updated, you MUST ABSOLUTELY get them NOW and allpy them ASAP !!!

Install a good anti-virus. The followings are free and very good: AVG free at free.avg.com, Avira free edition at www.avira.com, Avast free edition at www.avast.com, Malwarebytes at www.malwarebytes.org. By default, they are all set to download updated every day and you can set when the update is to be done during the day.
Let it update it's virus definitions and perform a FULL system scan. In your case, I very highly recommend doing a boot time scan.
