Heating element problem?

We have an Indesit IDC85, the heating elements are not working, and i do not know where the themostat trip switch is located, please can anybody help

It is more than likely the the heating element has gone open circuit - they go open circuit and fail to get hot or they go short circuit and trip the house electricity.
