How can I replace the belt on my Bosch Maxx?

I have recently purchased the correct replacement belt for a Bosch Maxx (WFL 2260), but it seems too short and I can see no obvious way to adjust the machine so it will fit. I would appreciate any inspiration. Thanks

It's about technique. You have to hook the belt on the motor wheel first and then try to fit it on the big drum wheel while turning it.
