Hi, there is a burning smell from my shower.I opened it up an think it was coming from the bushes as they were sparking excessively. I replaced the bushes and its the same with the new ones. Should I replace the motor or could it be the bearing or is there some way of dressing the armiture?

I would hazard a guess its the motor, expecially if it's slow, buzzy noisy and sparking.

There's a chance it could just be the brushes. Ask at www.showerdoctor.com whether the brushes can be replaced and, if so, what length they should be so you can check yours.
