Looks like a switch problem. The fact that you asked suggests you do not have alot of electrical understanding. On the basis that it is not just your life which depends on getting this right, but the life you your partner and children, consider getting a qualified sparky to check and freplace the pull isolator switch if necessary, or tgo advise wnat other repairs are needed. It could be nmoney spent = staying alive. Your call.
