sounds like the tap washers have gon down to lime scale / hard water ? if your up to changing the washers your need to turn off the water supply to the house / flat and then turn on the taps to emty the water from pipes then take the twist part of the tap off and your find a brass nut 19mm i think under that will be a black rubber change it , cost around £1 for 5 unless its a ceramic washer . and the shower bit ? just tip sum { lime and shine } or any limescale remover down the shower hose and let it sit inside the tap with the pipe up right over the tap .
