Total novice with moped electrics. Every time i switch on ignition the fuse blows. I understand this is generally caused by a short somewhere. How do i locate problem with a multi-Meter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mark, do a visual first. look for trapped wiring, corrosion on terminals and connectors, water ingress, broken wires etc. disconnect battery, consult wiring diagram. isolate lighting, indicators etc by unplugging connectors and meter wiring which is shown as +ve side of system to frame of bike. no reading should be made. hope this helps.
