how can i fix my Citroen Berlingo 1.4 petrol?

I have a Citroen Berlingo 1.4 petrol and I think the little plastic seal cap in the thermostat pipe has burst causing it to overheat and water to escape,is this expensive to replace and did i create further problems to any other part of the engine as it has a reduction in power also.

Not sure what part you are on about,is it the small plug in one of the hoses used for bleeding the coolant system, shouldn't be too expensive, it will depend how long your motor was run with no coolant and as to the extent of damage done is impossible to say.
