my hotpoint AQGD169S washing machine was half way through a wash when it has stopped working? no lights on the front panel are coming on so I have no error code? I have changed the fuse taken the top off and looked ant the components inside and they all seem intact the only thing that makes a noise when you turn the machine on is the door lock?

This is a common fault on the mk6 version of the module (located in the back of the machine). Have a look at a mk6 by going to our site at www.emwelec.co.uk and putting AQGD169 in the search box. It should bring your machine back to life !
