I have a 07 LF 45 Daf, it revs up when braking. If you feather the brake when you are braking it will rev a little and settle down again. It will rev full if you brake hard to a stop. It also has the ABS light on also would this have anything to do with it ???

Hi Bob, no I am still trying to find an answer to this. I have tried DAF and 2 local truck workshops but my problem is that the fault never occurs when the workshops test drive it and no faults are logged. We did also have a cutting out problem which was cured by changing the engine ECU but the revving up problem persists. I am going to record the next episode for the workshop and will post here if we get anywhere. Please do likewise many thanks

Hi, Mine is a 2005 conversion to horsebox. It has done exactly this since I have owned it (4 years) although it is intermittent. No pattern that I can establish - wet/dry - hot/cold. It could be long or short runs. We don't get the ABS light coming on though and no faults are logged. DAF have been pretty useless/not interested.
