03 1.7dti clutch pedal has dropped to the floor, whats gone wrong?

Driving my combo, i would notice that the clutch pedal would sometimes drop, when i was at the point of slowing down, and having to change gear. Until ...it suddenly dropped away completely. Is this a something that is familiar,.... as a mechnical faliure!

check where clutch master cyl pushrod fits to clutch pedal ,sounds like its pushed its way through bracket on pedal !!!!

check under gearbox bellhousing for signs of brake fluid,if so it might be a g/box out job for a release bearing,also check brake master cyl. fluid level,if low it might be a brake problem giving you the trouble with your clutch
