The red lite on the remote does not come on when I touch the power button. I have changed batteries. Samsung TV and remote less than 2 years old. Remote model Number is AA59-00600A

best way to test it is.. put new batteries in it, get your smart phone turn the camera on. hold the camera over the red light on the remote and press any button on the remote, if its working you will see it light up through the phone camera. as the camera can pick up this infra red light , you cant,,www.remote-controls- try there for a new one .
