Jcb ram seals?

1986 3cx.
I need to re seal the 4in1 rams. I am told there is a locking pin which has to be removed in order to dismantle. I can't see anything in the cap, so I assume is to do with the piston.
Can anyone tell me where it is, and how it is removed please?
