how can i fix my washing machine Kenwood KVWA 146 SL?

The water is not going into the machine and nothing is going on with it . lights up but nothing else is happening with it?

Yes - no water = no work. It needs water before it can do anything.

The water supply is interrupted - turned off at the little tap on the pipework perhaps but more likely the solenoid operated water inlet valve is defective.

This valve can be found on the back of the machine where the supply pipe connects. Cheap to buy and very easy to replace - call in a specialist engineer or buy a new inlet valve from an on-line supplier.
