My Minivator 1000 is stuck ?

My Minivator 1000 has gone unused since my father passed away. We have had it for three years. The lift got jammed and is now stuck halfway up the staircase. there is no power going to the chair . I have checked the circuit breaker and made sure that the the receptacle is working. I cannot locate the manual tool to bring the chair down to recharge ( if that is what is needed ) To get a serviceman from the dealer to come is $150 just to get here. I went on line to order the hand crank and including delivery it is $90.00 . Does anyone know where I can get the hand crank for a reasonable price.? I can't get a clear explanation how to replace the batteries if that is in fact the solution.

You may very well do better by looking around.

Is this the item you are after?

It would appear to be little more than a piece of 6mm, 1/4 inch or possibly 8mm rod with a couple of flats machined (or filed) at one end and a handle fitted to the other. (or possibly the other end bent to form a crank handle). I doubt it would be tricky to make one, given time and a few basic hand tools.

Note: If you want to try making one, it may be worth checking with a torch, to see what the receptacle inside the stairlift is like, just in case the supplier has used a generic photo.
