Why is my iron tripping my electric Russell Hobbs 20392 ?

Had my iron for about 16month always worked fine until a few days ago as I plugged it in it trips electric out, checked fuse and plug which was fine.

Very probably the heating element has failed - not possible to repair.

Time for a new one.
