Carver stc3600?

My igniter cable from the auto circuit box just has white cable pushed on top corner but other end of wire is free & not connecting to anything , can’t find where it goes and fire is just clicking and not igniting can anyone tell me where wire goes with photos and instructions how to fix please

The wire that connects to the igniter has a anti heat sleeve on it and it normally connects by spade connecter to the ignitor which you should hear clicking as it sparks test it without gas on.

Think this through.

The gas needs a spark to lighti it.

The gas comes out of a burner. There may also be a pilot burner

There is probably an electrode close to the burner or pilot light.

It needs to stand heat so wont be plastic, probably white ceramic.

The wire will feed this electrode somehow. It may have simply fallen off.

There may already be a wire there, in which case you clould trace this back and find where it should join the ignier lead
