i have a 99 vauxhall vectra 140sri and the battery drained in less than an hour. the alternator is fine and the battery is brand new. no warning lights come up on the dash board so im baffled.this has happened before but corrected itself but it has started doing it again.diagnostic found nothing so im desperate for an answer.

a lot of the time battery drains are caused by aftermarket phone kits or alarms or audio equipment, if u have any of these try disconnecting them

Connect an ammeter between the battery post and battery lead(disconnected).
You should see no more than 0.2amps.
If more, take out fuses one at a time until load drops off to find circuit/s to blame.
Pull relays also if fuse does not help.
