Hi when i go to lock my van it try's to lock then unlocks it's self all the doors seem to be closed and level what would be the basic things to lock for

It's probably checking the doors are all properly closed. If there's something wrong with one if the door switches it sensors, the lock computer decides the doors aren't all closed and spits it's dummy out.

You might get some mileage by searching for your make and model of van (which you didn't give) and strings like "central locking" "unlocks itself" and the like
