my singer sawing 507 machine starts to move when I turn the machine on without using the peddle and there is a burning smell. Any clues? I've had for a while and just noticed the fuse was 3a but should be 13a, so I changed but I don't understand why it moves without me using the peddle. It only stops when I turn the on/off button to the off position.

I think you'll find the fuse should indeed be 3A. A sewing machine draws nowhere near 3kW, which is the sort of load a 13A fuse would protect.
