Pressure regulator problem, code 177?

IN SOME CASES THE renault laguna ii "auto" warning light orange indicator light on the dashboard will turn on, butthe car keeps on driving smoothly without any problems. I had a diagnostic check and it came up with pressure regulator problem, code 177. Please advise further actions and the way forward.
