How can you fix a constant "check brake pad" light for 2000 VW Passat GLS?

The light has come on a lot lately but, all four pads have plenty of life in them.

If the pads are good you have a brake pad sensor bad

Your pads have wires that connect them to the cars systems. It sounds like one of those wires has worn through and is grounding.
