coolant leak rover 214i 1992/93?

I have a rover 214i 1992/93 and am having to keep topping coolant up. I have read that it may be the head gasket. I can see coolant patch on the ground so does this mean that the problem area just needs sealing or could it still be a head gasket problem?? also I can see dripping but can not see any obvious signs of cracks or holes etc! please help. ta.

There is an upgraded gasket available from dealers. Since Land Rover started fitting them the instances of failed head gaskets has dropped. You MUST get this fixed right away. Do not drive the car until it is fixed or your engine will break and the fix for that is a new engine.

almost 100% certain that it is your headgasket, rovers suffer terribly from them, It is a design fault on the K series engine (that is fitted to your car) in most cases it is cheaper to replace your engine than the gasket ( i know it sounds silly but it is such a common fault the engines are dirt cheap to buy) try www.nsec.co.uk for spares
