How do I stop myaccounts@nationalcity.com? -Fix didn't work?

I read the answer provided to another user (Be very careful when doing the following. click RUN, then when the box opens, type: msconfig and click ok. At the top of the box, you will see a START tab, click that and then look for the myaccounts@nationalcity.com or words very similar to that and remove the tick. Then it will tell it to reboot, and hopefully this should stop it loading)

Unfortunately, when I type "msconfig" on the RUN prompt I get the following: "Cannot find the 'msconfig' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available." My only option is "OK."

I have two spyware programs (SpyHunter and AdAware) which don't seem to be stopping this. I had a pop-up blocker (Adorons), but it would just cause IE to "hang" when it was attempting to deal with this problem. I have disabled Adorons because 4 minutes to get to my homepage was unacceptable. I have Symantec Antivirus. I am on Windows 2000 and IE 6.0.

Any other ideas, or do I have a bigger problem since I can't access msconfig?

Here's the solution- straight from the source, National City Bank-Select "Start," then "Control Panel," then "Add/Remove Programs." Scan down until you find "My Password Saver" Select it and click on Change/Remove. Then restart you computer and it should be gone forever.

ok heres a fix ,viruses are known to alter the computers registry, its best to make a backup of the registry before making any changes so before you do this make a backup point with system restore.

open regedit using start/run

click in order:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENT\VERSION\APPPATHS\MSCONFIG.EXE

NOW IN THE RIGHT PANE IF ITS NOT THERE ENTER

REPLACE #: WITH THE DRIVE WHERE YOUR WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEM IS

#:\WINDOWS\PCHEALTH\HELPCTR\BINARIES\MSCONFIG.EXE

THEN EXIT

Download Autoruns. It works better than MSCONFIG.
