I think my machine's timing is out?

I have a New Home/ Janome model 346. the stitching on my machine is very uneven. Some stitches are long and some are short, I think it may be the timing but don't know for sure.

hi there,i don't think it is,it sounds like a tension problem.Check that you have it threaded properly, check owners manual. Also check that nothing is stuck in tensioning mechanisium usually this works

Hello there
Fixing your timing can be done after obtaining the sewing machine adjuster's manual. Several of them are oft available on e-bay. For sure, not an easy thing to do unless you have the patience and the guidance. You can also ask for references for a good local repairman at sewingmachinerepairs at yahoo.com. A sewing machine repair man/woman would charge you 50 dollars, sure, but will need to go over the entire machine and fix any other issues it might have. Money well spent, considering you would have to pay for the adjusters manual and then buy the tools to fix it yourself. Good luck
