I have a Hitcahi 42" Plasma TV (either PMa400e or 42PD5000) that got scratched on the screen by accident. The glass is not broken but the top layer of plastic is scratched off in a couple of places - can the screen be replaced or relayered with the plastic?

WELL, I'M RESEARCHING THE SAME PROBLEM. MY HOPE ( AND I COULD BE WRONG) IS TO USE A CD/DVD SCRATCH REMOVER...OR...MOTORCYCLE FACE SHIELD SCRATCH REMOVER. ALSO SOMEONE MENTIONED A SCRATCH SOLN TO FILL IN THE SCRATCH. I DON'T KNOW THE NAME OF THE PRODUCT. JUST BE CAREFUL AND THOROUGHLY RESEARCH THIS BEFORE YOU TRY IT. SCREEN CLEANERS ARE AVAILABLE SO IT SEEMS TO ME THAT ATTEMPTING TO RUB OUT A SCRATCH ON THE OUTSIDE SCREEN WOULDN'T BE A PROBLEM. IF I CAN'T REMOVE THE SCRATCH, I WILL PURCHASE A NEW OUTER SCREEN FOR ABOUT $200. GOOD LUCK.
