I pressed rewind on my video recorder but it was so fast it took the actual film off one of the reels on the VHS. I know it did not snap it just wound too far but I desperately need to reconnect it to feed onto the 2nd reel but dont want to open the VHS up if it damages the old footage.

You will have to take it apart,practice on an old tape first to see how ti is threaded through,the end slots into the white wheel.
