when i brake the rear drum brakes keep locking and unlocking very violently, if i brake hard especially! it can make the van vibrate and is doing my head in!! I've been told maybe i have to ajust the drum brake or a spring has come off?? HELP! 350 Freight Rover E reg(1989?) 2.5 D

probably need to de-adjust handbrake,remove rear drums, clean out dust,check springs and linkage rods and plates (plates usually break) check linings etc long rod has to be adjusted to give a bit of clearance between plate and shoe. refit drum re-adjust shoes, re-adjust handbrake.if still grabbing load sensing valve will need re-adjusting
