When our old service electronic 1000 spins, water fountains out of the vent pipe at the rear which is attached to the top of the drum.
If we switch it to drain without spinning, it seems to empty ok.
Just when it start to spin it pours out the top.
Luckily this is a machine we have in the garage for the dogs bedding.

Sorted it. There is a filter underneath, not a user removable one, an undo the jubilee clip and force it out with a screw driver one.
When I eventually removed it there was years of dog hair clogging it up. Problem solved.
