I have a Sony Trinitron and the set "died" while watching it. When we turn on the power the red LED flashes twice then pauses and continues in that sequence. I don't want to take this 170lbs monster to a repair shop. Is there a fuse or a simple fix? I don't want to spend much to repair I would buy a new one if this is costly.
I have a sony KV-36XBR800 tv with 2 blinking lights that won't turn on. The lights only blink sometimes while at other times the tv starts right up. I am trying to find out the basic repair cost for this problem as I want to see if it is worth it to fix.

Did you ever get resolution on what the problem was and whether an easy/hard(costly) fix?
