I can.t get my mac 2816 to start. runs for a few seconds @ low rps then stops I can.t get it to operate at high rpm's I think it needs a carburator adjustment. Help

Sounds to me that you need to clean the air intake filter, your motor will not run with a plugged air cleaner

I would not monkey with the air fuel mix unless you have already done so.
In wich case the thottle adjustment screw (located on top of the carb) should be adjusted just so the motor runs.
