how can i fix renault clio 02 sun roof?

my 02 clios sun roof leaks round the hard black seal i can use the sun roof no water comes in. but i have it all taped up round the hard seal . the garage is going to put a thin line of silicone round it is it a special kind or could i do it my self.

There's no reason you can't apply the silicone yourself. Any decent d.i.y. store will sell the right stuff.
