How can I find a copy of an instruction booklet for Model 116 31913100 Kenmore Progressive Upright vacuum cleaner? I want to give mine to my daughter but can't find instruction booklet. Haven't used it in a year so forget how to switch from carpet cleaning to the "other mode" i.e., to hose suction for use with tools.

You can find parts drawings and parts list for all Sears products at WWW.PARTSDIRECT.COM. That is the Sears parts store. All genuine Sears Parts sent directly to your house....
In your case put in the model number and look for attachment and hose section, in there is the user manual for your vacuum. Order it on line.
