hitachi CP-RS56 yellow spot bottom right of picture?

Hi, my hitachi CP-RS56 has a large yellow spot/tint bottom right of picture, about 30 inches across, anyone know whats caused this and is it an expensive fix (i have a bad feeling it is!)

cheers

It's probably the same as the rear projection Hitachi TV problem. The Light Engine gets overheated due to dust in the filters and burns one of the lcd chips causing the yellow spot. I have no idea what it costs for your product, but it is a pricey fix on the rear projection models ($1000 plus).

I have the same problem on a CPX430W I know what the problem is, however I can't source the part. This is caused by the red filter being either burnt or delaminating in part. I stripped my projector down and this small glass filter panel about 35mm x 25mm was the cause, and the burn was clearly visable. The burn is caused by not cleaning out the filter on a regular basis to allow adequate air flow. Anyone know where to source.
