Countex ride on, hydrostatic stopped, are reconditioned ones avail?

My Countax was working fine, reversed out then started makig awful noise in gear box, put new drive belt on, went fine then started noise again and jammed, have been told that hydrostatic unit is faulty and require new one, it is old but reliable machine is there anyone who does reconditioned units

Had the same problem with mine.Cos i'm mean I refused to pay for a new one and stripped the gearbox. Beware, the unit is sealed on the joint between top and bottom and it is easy to damage the casings. Careful work with a thin knife will do it though. Once inside I found that the bolts holding the main bearings had sheared. It cost me £3 for replacements from my local agricultural dealer!
I resealed the casings with silicone sealent and all was fine again.I reckon this little job was worth about £200/hour given the price of a new one!
